Rosy Barbs are barbs are a beautiful little fish that originates from India. Males develop an intense red when in breeding condition and females are a beautiful copper colour. Both sexes will look their best if live foods are offered to further enhance these beautiful colours
Cherry barbs prefer to be kept in shoals of at least five or six fish and this will allow them to display more natural colours and behaviour. Being omnivores, they should be offered a wide variety of slow sinking pellets and flakes.
The best set up for these fish would be an aquarium with areas of open water combined with groups of plants or ornaments. Ideal tank mates are peaceful fish such as platys, rasboras, corydoras catfish and tetras.
Being mid water feeders, the best diet to offer is a combination of live foods, frozen food and slow sinking pellets or flake.
